Get your pleasant healthy smile back!
Tooth loss is an inevitable part of aging, and causes problems for all of us. We cannot chew as before, we fell uncomfortable, and we might be depressed about how we look.
Traditional tooth replacement with bridge or crown are not always able to solve these problems fully. In such cases the best solution can be a tooth replacement with dental implants.
The basis of modern dental implants is to replace missing teeth with the help of artificial tooth roots (dental implants).
During smile design in our clinic you will see that the implant-based prosthesis is just as strong and aesthetic like your original teeth.
The Denti® Implant System offers for these cases highquality, world-class dental implants at a very reasonable price, specially if you are thinking to have a dental treatment abroad.
What is a dental implant?
Dental implant is an artificial tooth root made of a biomaterial. The material is generally pure, unalloyed titanium, which is completely accepted by the human body. Denti® System dental implants are also produced from pure, unalloyed titanium designed as a tooth root form for medical use. Denti® System dental implants have been developed on the basis of 25 years of theoretical and practical experience with a textured surface, and comply with the most rigorous European and worldwide standards. With a good implantation and a properly prepared prosthesis, implants can remain effective and last a lifetime.
Who do we advise to try dental implantation?
We advise dental implants in Budapest to all patients who choose dental implants abroad and who have no contraindications. However, implant-based tooth replacement is only recommended to those people who have proper mouth hygiene and are willing to follow the hygiene suggestions proposed by the dentist.
Dental implantation is a surgical procedure. There are some criterias to determine implant succes. Integration failure occurs when indications are not followed, and alcoholism, drug addiction and heavy smoking represent serious risk factors too. Some of diseases can reduce the chance of implant success – like untreated diabetes, cardio-vascular diseases, and some other conditions. Implantation cannot be carried out before the end of the jaws’ growing period (until about the age of 14). How does implantation take place?
1. During preliminary examinations the doctor checks the patient to evaluate the candidacy for treatment. This includes an accurate dental examination with the help of an X-Ray or CT scan in 3 dimensions (if the jaw is suitable for receiving the implant, which teeth must be substituted, what kind of implant is needed, etc.), and general medical examinations (like laboratory tests).
Then comes the planning of the implantation process during which the dentist consults the patient on any possible problems (how many implants would be needed, if the patient wants a temporary prosthesis during the period of healing time / osseointegration, the expected costs, schedule, etc.).
The next step is the placement of the implant under local anaesthesia. First the dentist prepares the given part of the jaw, then the implant is attached under the gumline. The suture is removed 7-10 days later, and following this the implant begins to heal under the gums.
3. In order to be permanently stable, there is a healing period, which lasts for about 2-3 months. During healing time the bone cells grow into the micro-pores created on the surface of the implant. This process is called osseointegration, and ensures the implant to be fixed in place and become able to support a normal biting load long-term without any damage.
4. The last step of this procedure is to fix the tooth replacement onto the implant. First the osseointegrated implant is uncovered, then abutment pieces are fitted into it to support or retain the replacement. The permanent crown is prepared in the dental laboratory in a short time in the usual way, then it is affixed to the top of the implant.
5. Contact between patient and dentist does not stop here with placement of the new implant tooth. Please follow the dentist’s post-operative and aftercare suggestions, as these are important factors in the success of implantation. Proper mouth hygiene and regular medical check-ups are important for maintaining your dental implants. Regular, yearly visits are necessary for patients wearing implant-based tooth replacement.
Then the dentist verifies the state of the attachment of the bone and of the muccosa around the implant and of the tooth replacement, and makes the necessary corrections (e.g. removable of plaque). Note: If you notice any change, please let us know as soon as possible.

The advantages of implantation compared to traditional tooth replacement?
In case of one or a few missing teeth in the middle of the row the implantation can be solved by preparing an implant for the root of the lost teeth, while traditional prosthesis, or tooth-supported bridge can only solve this by damaging neighbouring healthy teeth.
Fixed dental replacements can be created with dental implants even in cases when traditionally only a partially removable denture could be prepared.
In these cases implant-based tooth replacement are more strong and stable, and have better chewing strength than traditional solutions. Besides it feels, looks and fits like a natural tooth. All these factors together improve the patient’s quality of life.
The implantation is a good solution for the complete loss of teeth, and prevents further bone loss. The implant can retain the removable denture (so-called round-headed retention or retention rod ) or a fixed prosthesis can be prepared too with a sufficient number of implants (bridge, overdenture prosthesis)
When the implant is well integrated, placement of the prosthetic can be done on the traditional way by glueing, or by screwing, which can be removed only by the dental professionals. By using any Denti ® implant the individual wishes can be fully taken for the tooth replacement. Denti ® system components are made with the best materials and technology to create a prosthesis that provides the desired comfort, shape and colour to achieve a higher quality of life.
Have allergy or tumorous diseases been noted in connection with implantation?
Implants are made of pure titanium. This material had special biological characteristic – namely bone is able to integrate with it. We cannot find any record of allergy or tumorous in connection with implants in literature, as ther surface is covered by a stable compound, titanium – oxide. This material does not dissolve in bodily fluids, so the immune system does not react to it. With a good implantation and a properly prepared prosthesis, implants can remain effective and last a lifetime.
Why is proper mouth hygiene so important for patients wearing implants?
Implant success is mainly related to patient’s good mouth hygiene. The effective home care, the proper oral hygiene is necessary to prevent any infections or diseases around implants. Dental plaque can be easily removed from these places with the help of an interdental tooth brush or dental floss. Professional oral maintainance is recommended every 6-12 months. Avoid the use of oral hygiene materials containing fluoride in high contrencation!
The other fundamental condition for a lifetime succes is a properly prepared prosthesis. If the mentioned conditions met, dental implants can last for lifetime.
